Sunday, November 1 gives us 12 NFL games, four division fights, an unbeaten team walking into Detroit, and a Sunday night matchup that could decide whether Washington owns the NFC East or merely rents it. Here is the complete 2026 Week 8 Sunday card, with every kickoff, venue, recent result, matchup hinge, early injury watch, likely game script, and analytical outlook.
All records and results below are through Week 7. Buffalo, Jacksonville, the Los Angeles Chargers and Washington were off last weekend. Their most recent result comes from Week 6. There is no international game on the Week 8 Sunday schedule.
Important Wednesday note: official Week 8 practice reports and final game designations were not available when this draft was researched at 6:30 a.m. ET on October 28. The NFL game centers listed injury reports as unavailable. Confirmed Tuesday roster and injury news is identified, but no early-week availability note should be treated as a Sunday status.

The games to circle
- Vikings at Lions: Minnesota is 6-0, Detroit is 4-2, and both clubs are coming off one-score Week 7 wins. This is the best record on the slate meeting a divisional rival that is favored at home.
- Ravens at Bills: Baltimore was flattened 35-13 by Cincinnati, while rested Buffalo enters 5-1. The Ravens need to fix their protection just as a starting guard is expected to miss time.
- Chiefs at Broncos: Kansas City scored three points in Seattle. Denver has won three straight and gets the champs at altitude with the AFC West suddenly feeling much less settled.
- Eagles at Commanders: Philadelphia has lost five straight. Washington is rested, favored, and still has major quarterback questions hanging over the prime-time game.

Early injury and roster board
The official Week 8 game centers had not posted Wednesday practice participation when this draft was prepared. That means every matchup below starts with uncertainty. The confirmed carryover news is meaningful, but the Wednesday, Thursday and Friday reports still need to replace it before publication.
- Baltimore guard Olaivavega Ioane suffered an MCL sprain in Week 7 and is expected to miss some time. The rookie had started every game.
- Cincinnati placed tight end Erick All on injured reserve after a reported torn ACL. Safety Kyle Dugger also left the Baltimore game with a quadriceps injury.
- Minnesota running back Aaron Jones left the Colts game with a knee injury. Detroit cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. left the Packers game with an ankle injury.
- Cleveland cornerback Myles Harden left Week 7 with a hamstring injury. Las Vegas edge defender Patrick Johnson left with a neck or stinger issue.
- Miami cornerback Julius Brents left the Jets game with a stinger. Philadelphia reported that Saquon Barkley’s hamstring responded well in his return.
- Indianapolis placed cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt on injured reserve and traded Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner on Tuesday. Those moves change both sides of the Colts roster before Jacksonville.
Every Sunday matchup
Baltimore Ravens (4-3) at Buffalo Bills (5-1)
1:00 p.m. ET, Highmark Stadium. Baltimore has lost two straight, including a 35-13 home defeat to Cincinnati on October 25. Buffalo was off in Week 7 and last beat Las Vegas 33-30 on October 18. Across the Ravens’ last two games they have scored 23 points; Buffalo scored 66 across its two games before the bye.
Main matchup: Baltimore’s protection against Buffalo’s front, then Lamar Jackson’s movement against a rested defense. The Ravens lost every chance to control the Bengals game once they fell behind. Buffalo can force the same script if Josh Allen creates early explosives and the home defense turns Ioane’s absence into interior pressure.
Availability watch: Ioane’s MCL sprain is confirmed and expected to cost him time. The official Week 8 practice reports for both clubs were not available at research time, so Jackson’s workload, Buffalo’s post-bye health, and every final designation still require verification.
Likely script and outlook: Baltimore’s best path is a run-led opening quarter that keeps Allen watching. Buffalo’s best path is tempo, early scoring and pressure through the weakened interior. The Bills are the sturdier side because they are rested and Baltimore’s line has a confirmed problem, but the Ravens still carry enough quarterback upside to make a large spread uncomfortable.
Tennessee Titans (1-6) at Cincinnati Bengals (4-2)
1:00 p.m. ET, Paycor Stadium. Tennessee lost 27-24 to Cleveland on October 25 after earning its first win the week before. Cincinnati beat Baltimore 35-13 and has won two straight. Over those two games the Bengals have scored 70 points, while the Titans have allowed 47.
Main matchup: Tennessee’s young offense against a Cincinnati defense that just controlled Baltimore, and the Bengals’ passing game against a Titans secondary that cannot afford another long day. If Tennessee falls behind, the burden moves to Cam Ward in obvious passing situations. Cincinnati can stay balanced and make the Titans defend every blade of grass.
Availability watch: Cincinnati tight end Erick All is on injured reserve, and safety Kyle Dugger’s quadriceps needs a current participation update. Tennessee’s official Wednesday participation report was not available. Treat every skill-position and offensive-line status as preliminary until team reports appear.
Likely script and outlook: The Titans need takeaways and red-zone resistance to keep this close. Cincinnati can win with a normal game, while Tennessee needs a strange one. The Bengals are the clear straight-up lean, but a double-digit spread asks them to maintain focus after an emotional division win.
Arizona Cardinals (2-5) at Dallas Cowboys (3-4)
1:00 p.m. ET, AT&T Stadium. Arizona lost 30-16 to Denver on October 25. Dallas beat Philadelphia 38-21 on Monday night, October 26, and now works on a short week. The Cardinals have been outscored by 66 points through seven games, while Dallas has scored 189 points after its Monday win.
Main matchup: Dallas’ explosive offense against an Arizona defense that has allowed 208 points, plus the Cowboys’ ability to handle the quick turnaround. Arizona has to shorten the game, finish drives and keep the Dallas passing game from getting comfortable indoors.
Availability watch: Arizona placed receiver Jalen Brooks on injured reserve Tuesday. Dallas played Monday, so recovery information and its first true practice participation report matter more than usual. No official Week 8 designations were available at research time.
Likely script and outlook: Dallas should dictate pace if its offensive line comes out of Monday healthy. Arizona’s chance is to turn the short week into sluggish execution and steal a turnover. The matchup points toward Dallas, but the compressed preparation window is the reason to demand a price no worse than the current number.
Minnesota Vikings (6-0) at Detroit Lions (4-2)
1:00 p.m. ET, Ford Field. Minnesota remained unbeaten with a 16-10 win over Indianapolis on October 25. Detroit beat Green Bay 20-17 the same day. The Vikings have allowed only 74 points through six games, an average of 12.3 per game, and carry a plus-51 point differential.
Main matchup: Detroit’s offensive line and timing game against Minnesota’s pressure and coverage disguises. The Lions need clean early downs so they are not living in third-and-long. Minnesota needs its defense to create short fields if the offense cannot win a pure shootout.
Availability watch: Vikings running back Aaron Jones left Week 7 with a knee injury. Lions cornerback Ennis Rakestraw Jr. left with an ankle injury. Neither has a Week 8 game status yet, and the official Wednesday reports were not posted when this was researched.
Likely script and outlook: Detroit’s home-field edge and dome speed make this close, but Minnesota has been the more consistent team through six games. Expect a possession game with explosive shots off play action. The Vikings plus the points is more attractive than trying to call the outright winner before Jones and Rakestraw are clarified.
Indianapolis Colts (2-5) at Jacksonville Jaguars (4-2)
1:00 p.m. ET, EverBank Stadium. Indianapolis lost 16-10 at Minnesota for a third straight defeat. Jacksonville was off in Week 7 after a 34-31 loss to Houston in London. The Jaguars entered the bye with 154 points scored and 104 allowed through six games.
Main matchup: A reshaped Indianapolis line and front against a Jacksonville team that had an extra week to prepare. Quenton Nelson and DeForest Buckner were traded Tuesday, removing two foundation pieces from opposite sides of the ball. Jacksonville should test the new protection and run directly at the changed defensive interior.
Availability watch: Indianapolis placed cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt on injured reserve Tuesday in addition to the two trades. Jacksonville’s first post-bye participation report was not available at research time. Current quarterback, offensive-line and secondary participation must be checked before judging the full seven-point range.
Likely script and outlook: The Colts need a clean, low-turnover game and a huge rushing contribution to keep the Jaguars from controlling tempo. Jacksonville has the rest, the roster continuity and the home field. The Jaguars are the clear lean, but the personnel shock in Indianapolis makes the matchup more volatile than a normal favorite-versus-underdog setup.
Las Vegas Raiders (3-4) at New York Jets (2-5)
1:00 p.m. ET, MetLife Stadium. Las Vegas has lost four straight after a 35-21 defeat to the Rams on October 25. The Jets have lost two straight after Miami beat them 28-25. Across those two games the Raiders have allowed 68 points, while the Jets have scored 44 and allowed 54.
Main matchup: The Jets’ ability to pressure and tackle against a Raiders offense that can still produce chunk plays, plus Las Vegas’ run defense against a New York offense that needs manageable third downs. This is a game where field position and one short touchdown drive may matter more than total yardage.
Availability watch: Raiders edge defender Patrick Johnson left Week 7 with a neck or stinger issue, while receiver Dont’e Thornton Jr. was activated from injured reserve Tuesday. The Jets lost defensive tackle T’Vondre Sweat to a knee injury in Week 7. Week 8 practice statuses were not yet available.
Likely script and outlook: Neither team deserves blind trust. New York has home field, while Las Vegas has the higher single-game offensive ceiling. The likely script is tight into the fourth quarter with turnovers deciding it. That makes the side a PASS until the defensive injury reports and weather are current.
Cleveland Browns (5-2) at Pittsburgh Steelers (5-2)
1:00 p.m. ET, Acrisure Stadium. Cleveland beat Tennessee 27-24 for a second straight win. Pittsburgh beat New Orleans 16-10 and has won three straight. Both teams are 5-2. In their Week 7 victories, Cleveland and Pittsburgh won by an average margin of 4.5 points.
Main matchup: Cleveland’s pass rush and ball control against Pittsburgh’s protection, then the Steelers’ ability to turn home-field pressure into turnovers. Division familiarity usually strips away easy answers. The team that avoids second-and-long should own the clock and force the other quarterback to take the first real risk.
Availability watch: Browns cornerback Myles Harden left Week 7 with a hamstring injury. Pittsburgh’s current report was not available early Wednesday. The secondary, offensive-line and running back participation levels for both teams should be considered open questions.
Likely script and outlook: This looks like the slate’s lowest-variance game: defense, punts and one-score football. Pittsburgh has home field and the better current win streak, but Cleveland has already shown it can win ugly. Steelers are a slight lean; laying more than a field goal is a PASS before practice reports.
Atlanta Falcons (3-4) at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (2-5)
1:00 p.m. ET, Raymond James Stadium. Atlanta upset San Francisco 29-20 on October 25. Tampa Bay demolished Carolina 43-13 the same day. The Buccaneers’ 43 points were their best scoring output of the season, while Atlanta snapped a two-game losing streak.
Main matchup: Atlanta’s ground game and play action against Tampa Bay’s front, then Baker Mayfield’s ability to stay efficient against a Falcons defense that just held a 6-0 team to 20 points. Tampa Bay wants to turn this into a pace game. Atlanta wants longer drives and fewer possessions.
Availability watch: Neither club had an official Week 8 Wednesday practice report posted at research time. That is especially important after Atlanta and Tampa Bay both played physical Week 7 games. Mayfield’s throwing-hand health, the offensive lines and the Falcons’ defensive front should be verified from team reports.
Likely script and outlook: One week of explosive scoring does not erase five losses, but Tampa Bay’s home field and quarterback edge matter. Atlanta has the more convincing path to shortening the game. Tampa Bay is the narrow lean, with the division familiarity making anything beyond a short favorite price hard to justify.

Late window and Sunday night
Los Angeles Chargers (0-6) at Los Angeles Rams (3-4)
4:05 p.m. ET, SoFi Stadium. The Chargers were off in Week 7 after a 22-6 loss to Kansas City on October 18. The Rams beat Las Vegas 35-21 on October 25. The Chargers have been outscored 151-90 through six games, while the Rams have won two of their last three.
Main matchup: The rested Chargers’ protection against a Rams defense that can play aggressively with a lead. The Rams should test whether their stadium mates fixed anything during the bye. The Chargers must make this a quarterback game instead of allowing the Rams’ offense to stay balanced.
Availability watch: The Chargers’ first post-bye injury report and the Rams’ Wednesday participation report were not available at research time. The Rams’ pass catchers and both offensive lines are the primary price-sensitive areas to verify.
Likely script and outlook: The Chargers have extra rest, but six losses are a larger sample than one bye week. The Rams have the current form and the more stable game script. Los Angeles Rams are the lean, though the value disappears if the line reaches a full touchdown or a top Rams target is limited.
Kansas City Chiefs (5-1) at Denver Broncos (5-2)
4:25 p.m. ET, Empower Field at Mile High. Kansas City suffered its first loss, 20-3 at Seattle on October 25. Denver beat Arizona 30-16 for a third straight win. The Chiefs have allowed 103 points through six games, an average of 17.2, while Denver has scored 84 points across its three-game streak.
Main matchup: Kansas City’s protection and explosive passing game against Denver’s rush at altitude. The Broncos want to turn the Chiefs’ Seattle problems into a trend. Kansas City wants a fast first quarter that forces Denver out of a comfortable run and play-action plan.
Availability watch: Official Week 8 participation was not available for either club. Kansas City’s tackles, Denver’s secondary and both starting quarterbacks are the first checks because any limitation changes a tight spread immediately.
Likely script and outlook: Kansas City usually earns respect after a bad offensive game, but Denver is in form and at home. Expect both teams to protect the ball and make the other drive the full field. Chiefs are a small straight-up lean because of quarterback trust, but the side and total are WATCH items until practice and weather are current.
New England Patriots (4-3) at Miami Dolphins (1-5)
4:25 p.m. ET, Hard Rock Stadium. New England lost 30-24 at Chicago on Thursday, October 22, and enters with extra rest. Miami earned its first win, 28-25 over the Jets on October 25. The Dolphins have still been outscored by 59 points through six games.
Main matchup: New England’s offense against a Miami defense that has allowed 157 points, plus the Patriots’ ability to contain speed without surrendering cheap explosives. Miami needs to prove the Week 7 win was a beginning, not a one-game spike.
Availability watch: Miami cornerback Julius Brents left Week 7 with a stinger. New England had a long recovery window after Thursday night, but its official Week 8 participation was not yet available. Both secondaries and Miami’s skill-position group require current confirmation.
Likely script and outlook: New England has the rest and the stronger six-game body of work. Miami has home climate and the confidence of its first win. The Patriots are the lean, but a spread above a touchdown asks for margin from a road team that just allowed 30 points.
Philadelphia Eagles (2-5) at Washington Commanders (1-4-1)
8:20 p.m. ET, Northwest Stadium. Philadelphia lost 38-21 to Dallas on Monday night and has dropped five straight. Washington was off in Week 7 after a 23-17 loss to San Francisco on October 19. The Eagles have been outscored by 48 points through seven games.
Main matchup: Philadelphia’s pass rush and running game against a rested Washington team, then the Commanders’ quarterback plan against an Eagles defense that just played Monday. Washington can use tempo and motion to stress tired legs. Philadelphia must lean on Saquon Barkley and keep the game out of a pure dropback script.
Availability watch: Barkley said his hamstring came out well after returning Monday. Washington’s Week 8 practice report was not available, and quarterback Jayden Daniels’ current elbow status needs official confirmation rather than inference. The Eagles also face a short week, making recovery participation important.
Likely script and outlook: Washington has the rest and home field, but the quarterback question is too important to wave away. Philadelphia’s five-game slide is real, yet a division game under the lights can tighten quickly if Barkley controls the first half. Commanders are the lean only if the starting quarterback situation is confirmed; otherwise this is a PASS.
PRELIMINARY PICKS FOR OWNER REVIEW
Every recommendation below is preliminary. No bets were placed. FOX Sports displayed these bet365 Sportsbook lines as of October 27 and updated its page at 11:07 a.m. ET. | Game | Bet365 market via FOX Sports | Status | Reasoning | Invalidation condition |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Cardinals at Cowboys | Cowboys -6.5 | CANDIDATE | Dallas scored 38 on Monday and faces an Arizona team with a minus-66 point differential through seven games. | PASS if Dallas has a material quarterback or offensive-line absence, or if the spread moves beyond -6.5. |
| Vikings at Lions | Vikings +3.5 | CANDIDATE | Minnesota is 6-0 with a plus-51 point differential and has allowed 12.3 points per game. Getting more than a field goal gives the unbeaten team room in a division game. | PASS if Aaron Jones is out alongside another major offensive piece, or if the line falls below +3. |
| Chargers at Rams | Rams -6.5 | CANDIDATE | The Chargers are 0-6 and have been outscored by 61 points. The Rams have won two of three and scored 35 last week. | PASS if Matthew Stafford or a top Rams pass catcher is limited, or if the spread reaches -7. |
| Ravens at Bills | Bills -3.5, total 53.5 | WATCH | Buffalo is rested and Baltimore has a confirmed interior-line injury, but the total and side both carry major quarterback volatility. | Wait for Baltimore’s protection plan and both Wednesday through Friday reports. |
| Browns at Steelers | Steelers -3.5, total 39.5 | PASS | Both clubs are 5-2 and division familiarity makes the margin fragile. The low total already prices in a defensive game. | No side unless the spread drops to -3 or better with Pittsburgh healthy. |
| Chiefs at Broncos | Chiefs -1.5, total 40.5 | WATCH | Denver has won three straight, but Kansas City remains the stronger quarterback team. The current number offers little room for an injury surprise. | Wait for weather, Kansas City’s tackles and Denver’s secondary. |
| All other Sunday games | Current markets | PASS | Quarterback, short-week or roster uncertainty is too high for a responsible Wednesday recommendation. | Review only after official participation and meaningful price movement. |
